After graduating from beauty school 19 years ago, Julien began his career, cutting and styling hair for women in the French Alps to support his skiing habit. There, his talent and technique attracted the attention of styling icon Jacques Dessange, who offered Julien his own vision and expertise.

After ten years, Julien ascended the ranks at Dessange and was asked to lead their New York Training School in 1992. Just two years later, he caught the eye of Frederic Fekkai and was appointed the prestigious titles of Cutting Designer and Floor Supervisor at his Chanel-owned salon. Julien led the training of Team Fekkai in both New York and Los Angeles. Despite his successes, Julien was disillusioned with the industry's focus on quantity over quality. He had a more intimate experience to offer.

On January 2nd, 2001, Julien was committed to achieving his vision and left Fekkai armed only with ingenuity and perseverance. He began to look for the perfect space - accommodating, harmonious, and accessible -- while still tending to his clients. Trusting and loyal, they followed Julien to an interim salon in a room in the Pierre Hotel.

Still, Julien knew he wanted to be part of a team and began the search for those who shared his passion and commitment to providing the highest standard of service. Consequently, he joined forces with two exceptionally talented friends from Frederic Fekkai: Hair Designer Elvin Arvelo and Color Director Peter Oon. They shared the dream of building a business distinct from all others; a realm devoted not only to physical beauty, but to the indulgences that nurture the client as a whole. Thus, the idea of the Julien Farel Salon was born.

Julien Farel has worked for an extensive list of elite celebrities, including but not limited to Salma Hayek, Rachel Weisz, Kate Moss, Paris Hilton, Ivanka Trump, Audrey Tautou, Lauren Bush, Julia Louis Dreyfus, Catherine Deneuve, Natasha Richardson, Arielle Dombasle, Amanda Beard, Michael J. Fox, Richard Gere and Rod Stewart, Sean William Scott, Cynthia Nixon, Kate Beckinsale, America Ferrera and Broadway stars Lea Michelle (Spring Awakenings), and Stephanie March (The Talk Show).

In addition, regular salon clients include businessmen Jonathan Tisch and Eddie Lampert as well as writer Carl Bernstein.

He has also led his team in a number of photo shoots and fashion shows for designers such as Gucci, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Tod's, Douglas Hannant, David Chu and many others.

Unsil brings a unique quality to her approach to cut and styling. Having spent most of her career in the financial industry, she always knew there was a calling to hone her creative side. So she set out to train at the Aveda Institute in Soho in New York City, leaving her corporate job behind. Unsil apprenticed with a renowned Japanese stylist at the exclusive salon located in Bergdorf Goodman.

She is thrilled to be part of the team at Julien Farel and looking forward to delivering first rate service and unparalleled style to all her clients.

This is a true "Wall Street to Main Street" story. Unsil also has a BA in Journalism from Shippensburg University of Pennsylvania.

Hiroko ÒCocoÓ Omori was born in Fukuoka, Japan, and from a very young age expressed an interest in hair. When she was 16 years old, she dropped out of high school to pursue a career in beauty, which paid off immeasurably. She was given the top Hairdressing Award in the biggest hair competition in Japan.

Soon thereafter, she moved to the United States and taught the basics of hair cutting to students in training at a Beverly Hills salon in Los Angeles, California.

She moved to New York in 2010, and has developed a large clientele base which grows daily. She has styled and cut hair for many magazines, editorials, and runway shows. CocoÕs style of cutting is unique in that she specializes in Dry Haircutting, as well as French way of cutting and style hair.

Since the young age of 14, Jeremy Carta has embraced a lifestyle surrounding the innovative art forms of hairdressing. A professional hair stylist for nearly 10 years, Jeremy has built on his experience by completing intensive hairstyling courses in Europe, Los Angeles and New York City. His background is polished from reputable experience throughout many upscale salons, high end fashion shows and inspired photo shoots.

Throughout the course of his career, Jeremy has graced the tresses of many high profile clients, such as Katy Perry, Simon Cowell, Jelena Jankovic, Stacey Dash and many Latin music stars. He enjoys the gift of giving each and every client a glamourous experience, with respect to each individual's unique hair settings and desired results.

Currently based in New York City, Jeremy is determined to leave an everlasting mark on the world of hair, considering all possibilities endless and investing all of his focus on the enhancement of beauty.

Marcela's passions as a medical pedicure expert began in her native Uruguay. Her father was a podiatrist, and from a very young age she loved to work with him, developing a deep knowledge and understanding of the field.

In 2001, she moved to New York and began working with podiatrists in the Metropolitan area. She coupled her expertise in podiatry with her love of beauty and began working at Le Petit Spa and then Chill Spa, both in New York City.

In 2007, she began working at the Mezzanine Medical Day Spa in Soho, and worked with the doctor on staff, further cultivating her skills as a medical pedicure specialist. She has since joined the Julien Farel Salon at the Setai Fifth Avenue.

She also volunteers her free time giving medical pedicures to nursing home patients.

Alena began her career in her native Kiev, after graduating from Kiev Beauty College in 1990. Shortly thereafter she came to New York and started working at a fast-paced New York salon. Loving the magical feel of the City, she has remained in Manhattan since 1997.

Alena's global background, 20 years of experience and personable positive attitude make her a most efficient technician. She specializes in European manicures and pedicures, Brazilian waxing, eyebrow shaping, reflexology, and various body treatments.

Her ultimate goal is to make men and women feel beautiful, one client at a time, standing by her philosophy that beauty will save the world!
