Francis Catanese
Francis is no novice to the Hair Industry. He comes from a long family lineage of hair dressers. At a very young age, Francis had a passion for the beauty and hair industry and became dedicated to pursing his craft. He started his career as an apprentice working in the notorious Toni & Guy Advanced Academy. During his time there, he completed a rigorous haircutting program. Upon graduating from the Apprentice Program, he explored iconic brands to join in NYC and discovered Garren New York. Francis' knowledge and exposure to the industry and skill grew exponentially during his time there. He was Garren's very first assistant and partnered with the owner for nearly half a decade accompanying him on photo shoots, fashion shows, and catering to high profile clientele. Francis had the opportunity to work on AD campaigns with brands like Versace, Tom Ford, Revlon and many more. He was also introduced to creative inspiration projects working on editorials with Vogue, GQ, and Harpers Bazaar. He continues to do freelance opportunities with these top brands and you can find his work in various publications. Francis has truly mastered his craft and honed in on cutting and styling; he has a keen eye for precision haircutting and glamour styling. When not making beautiful tresses at Julien Farel, Francis is traveling around the country as an educator for R & Co where he trains salon teams on product knowledge and haircutting/styling techniques. Francis' client experience goes beyond technical skill; he aspires to achieve an inspirational and personal connection with each client to ensure their inner beauty resonates in their style.
